LifeVac is the first and only FDA-Authorized Suction Anti-Choking Device as a Second-Line Treatment.
LifeVac is intended to be used as a second-line treatment in a choking emergency. It does not replace calling 911 or performing standard choking rescue protocols and should only be used if standard choking protocol has failed.
If someone is choking, you should always follow these steps in the order listed:
- Call 911 immediately
- Perform standard choking protocol (5 back blows and 5 abdominal thrusts)
- Use LifeVac only if standard choking protocol has failed
